So, here's an update.
We've got some of the functionality up and running. We're still working on the internationalisation of the site in multiple languages (arabic, chinese, korean, japanese, french, spanish, etc.) and that's one complicated beast.
We're also working on the league modules that are in an pre-alpha stage, lots of things are broken but we're nailing them bugs one by one.
Stick around, we'll update you folks often throughout this week about the site work being done and when we'll launch the release candidate 1.
Ok, so an upgrade of php went a little sour and nuked ioncube. So, EGL is now permanently broke. We still have the data and the forums are alive.

Don't ask how long this will take, we've had enough of EGL and it had to go. We'll be migrating a lot of things shortly.

In October 2011 FTW's web host upgraded PHP which broke our old site platform, EGL. For some reason nobody cared enough to import the old news from before this point to the new website. I always considered that a shame, so as you can see, I have now recovered a lot of it below. However, we are currently still missing the news from mid-February 2011 to mid-October 2011.
During that period was: most of the 1v1 tournament, most of season 4, all of season 5, and a bit of the start of the map contest.
Eventually I hope to fill in this blank by either somehow recovering the old news (unlikely) or at least grabbing some info from the old forums data.
We are FINALLY able to announce the start date. Signups will close on Wednesday Feb 23.
